Leopard2A7V
Only a few years ago, the Leopard 2A7 entered the armored force...
The A7V upgrade is just around the corner.
A total of 68 Leopard 2 A4, 16 Leopard 2 A6 and 20 Leopard 2 A7 are to be converted to the modern version "Leopard 2 A7V".
So what is the difference between the Leo 2A7 and the 2A7V?
The upgrade includes changes to the fire control computer, as well as the installation of a new laser rangefinder and a new thermal imaging device.
The 68 Leopard 2A4s are also to get a new on-board cannon - the L55A1.
This will make it possible to fire the programmable multi-purpose cartridge DM11.
Features of the LEOPARD 2 A7+
• Passive all-round protection for the crew against threats such as booby traps, mines or anti-tank fire
• Combat compartment cooling systems in the turret and chassis and additional high-performance power generator for checkpoint missions
• Outboard intercom for dismounted forces
• Combined driver night vision (thermal imaging device/residual light amplifier) for front and rear vision
• Improved optronics (day/night) for reconnaissance over long distances
• Digitalized and multifunctional operator concept
• Command and information system
• Fuze-programmable ammunition

The way I see it, it's going to be a great thing...
The Leopard has always been one of the best of its kind, but after the "upgrade"... WOW!
I hope, of course, that its capabilities will NEVER be needed, except of course at the Canadian Army Trophy - where the German participants regularly put their competitors in their place.

The best tank in the world
In short, the tank in its latest version is the best tank in the world and a kind of bodyguard for the crew, there is nothing better.
