The German dog tags were placed in genuine leather pouches or cases to protect the wearer's skin from the metal of the dog tags.
A metal snap button has been attached to the leather flap of the lid.
The bag or cover made of genuine leather comes with 2 carrying cords (60 cm and 80 cm), but without an identification tag.
Newly manufactured in our own tailoring workshop based on the original template and sewn by hand.
These leather pouches were only available at the beginning of the war and from the middle of the war the identification tags were issued without these pouches due to the shortage of leather; so are most of the identification tags that can be found today without this leather pouch and are therefore also sought-after pieces among collectors.
