The RWD maintained everything from field ammunition to complex tactical missile systems like “Luna” and “Tochka”. These units operated under strict secrecy and were vital to the strategic capability of the NVA. After reunification in 1990, these structures were dissolved or transferred under Bundeswehr control. The emblem remains a significant symbol of Cold War-era military logistics.
